ABOUT SHINGRIX
THE SHINGRIX DIFFERENCE
In a clinical trial, SHINGRIX has been shown to be over 90% effective at preventing shingles
across 7344 individuals 50 years and older who received both doses of the vaccine.3,5
SHINGRIX helps to offer sustained protection against shingles up to year 11.5-6†, 16-17
†Separate clinical studies were conducted with immunocompromised population.8,18-19
HOW SHINGRIX WORKS
SHINGRIX is designed to help overcome age-related decline in immunity.5,12,20 Your immune system declines as you
age, and that puts you at an increased risk of shingles. SHINGRIX is developed to help your immune system defend against shingles regardless of age.3,5,10-12,20
THE IMPORTANCE OF 2 SHOTS
- 2 TO 6 MONTH INTERVAL
SHINGRIX is a 2 dose vaccine - an initial dose is given followed by a second dose 2 to 6 months later. If you have a weakened immune system there may be a shorter period of time between doses.3
To maximise the protection offered by SHINGRIX, it is important that you get both doses.2,3

WHAT TO EXPECT WITH SHINGRIX
SHINGRIX is a 2-dose vaccine series (0.5 mL each) administered as an injection into a muscle, usually in the upper arm. It is important to complete the 2‑dose series to help prevent shingles.3
After receiving SHINGRIX, you may experience: pain, redness and swelling at the injection site, tiredness, headache, chills, fever, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach pain and joint pain.3,21
